Made slowly, worn daily
AURELLE started in 2019 with one ring and one bench in an Antwerp courtyard. It is still the same bench. There are five of us now.
What we make
Fine jewellery in recycled 18k gold vermeil and recycled sterling silver: bands, chains, hoops and cuffs designed to be worn every day rather than kept for occasions. The shapes are simple on purpose. A piece should still look right in twenty years, and the fewer ideas it has, the better its chances.
How we make it
Every piece is cast, finished and set by hand in our own workshop. We make in small runs, so most pieces are made to order and ship in two to four working days. Nothing is outsourced, which is slower and the reason we can stand behind the work.
Why recycled
Gold and silver do not wear out; they only get melted down. Ours has already been something else, and the metal is chemically identical to newly mined. The only difference is that nobody had to dig for it. More on sourcing.
