Metal

All of our silver and gold is certified recycled, bought from two refiners in Belgium and Germany who provide chain of custody documentation for every batch. Recycled precious metal is indistinguishable from mined metal in purity and performance.

Vermeil, not plate

Our gold pieces are 18k gold vermeil: a thick layer of gold (2.5 microns, five times the legal minimum) over solid sterling silver. It wears far longer than standard plating, and when it does wear, we re-gild it for a small fee.

Packaging

Each piece ships in a linen pouch inside a recycled card box, with no plastic. The pouch is meant to be kept; the box is meant to be recycled.

Repairs

We repair anything we have made, for as long as we exist. Re-gilding, resizing and clasp replacement are priced at cost. Get in touch with a photo and we will quote before you send anything.

What we do not claim

We are not carbon neutral and we do not offset. Shipping and casting use energy, and we would rather reduce that honestly than buy a certificate that says otherwise.
